There is one photographer who transcends art, fashion, and design, and is loved and respected all over the world. He is Daido Moriyama, aged 80, probably the most prominent and least charismatic figure in the world of photography. This intimate documentary captures Moriyama as he lives his daily life.
Gen Iwama was born in Hokkaido and joined Nippon Television in 1991. While there, he directed and produced art documentaries and programmes on museums around the world. In his twenties, Iwama wrote and directed Photographer Daido Moriyama 1996: What Did the Dog On The Street See?, an intimate portrayal of Moriyama.
