Michael Mante is a budding filmmaker, keen to tap into the evocative power of film and funnel emotions through visual literacy and stories. He cites the work of Edward Yang, Akira Kurosawa and Paul Thomas Anderson as key influences. Sandpaper, a BFI Network supported film, is his first narrative short.
