Violent teen Sofi enters an altered state of consciousness whereupon she relives a traumatic memory and has an emotional reunion with her deceased father. While a telephone message suggests this may be a meaningless hallucination, Sofi uses it to find peace. The future Sofi complains that people tell her it wasn’t ‘real’.
Acacia was born to Iranian immigrants in London, but raised in two households: one the home of her Catholic childminder, the other her parents’ home, rich in Persian cultural heritage. Following a career as an NHS doctor, she is now keen to explore important issues through the artistic medium of film.
