He wiil tell you that pitching is the single most important skill a screenwriter or filmmaker needs to know. The fact is, good communication skills are the prerequisite for a successful film in the creative industries, and even more so in the would of independent film and filmmaking.

This workshop will cover all the essential skills and tools you’ll need to present an award-winning pitch and get your project off the ground. Learn about setting goals, using hooks and supporting materials, the top rules and the differences between pitching a story and asking for money.

About the Speaker:

Few people know more screenwriters, directors and filmmakers than the founder of Raindance, Elliot Grove.

He founded Raindance in 1992, and the British Independent Film Awards in 1998. He has produced 5 features and over 700 short films. As author he has written 3 industry standard texts: Raindance Producers’ Lab: Lo-to-no Budget Filmmaking, Raindance Writers’ Lab, and 150 Projects To Get You Get You Into Filmmaking. As an educator he founded and designed the pathway for the Raindance Film School. In 2009 he was awarded a PhD for services to education.
