Now follows young activists around the globe. Felix Finkbeiner, Luisa Neubauer, Greta Thunberg and Vic Barrett are challenging the status quo and pushing for social and political change. What does it feel like to be an activist in 2020? What is at stake for these young people?

Jim Rakete is a photographer, filmmaker, writer and producer based in Berlin, who has shot many well-known figures from politics and the arts. Jim lived between LA and Hamburg until his return to Berlin in 2001, where he continues to work in film, photography and writing.

Film Review: School strikes, demonstrations, and civil disobedience. The new wave of young activists, who, spearheaded by Greta Thunberg, have taken to the streets all over the world, use everything they can to awaken politicians and the rest of the population to the climate crisis that will shape their future. Now is a film about the drive of young activists, their fear of climate change and their willingness to find new and alternative ways to live in a sustainable future. Hardened activists such as the Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus and the iconic rock poet Patti Smith also contribute, providing forecasts for the future of the climate movement based on their lived experience. Accompanied by a score that perfectly communicates the urgency and energy that these young activists bring to the climate movement, cult photographer Jim Rakete’s debut film is a rousing call to arms that balances a hopeful tone while unflinchingly demonstrating the harsh reality that humanity faces. A film that deliberately encourages imitation from its viewers. Santiago Tricks
