The sound of jazz drums fills the night air as a chance encounter unfolds in the city; an elegant woman and a rugged stranger meet, with unexpected consequences. Mine moves fluidly between genres, playing with our expectations, inviting us into a beguiling laundromat bursting with teal blues and hot hues.

Sophia’s first short film The Wider Sun premiered at the BFI and she was awarded Best Director at Oslo Independent Film Festival in 2018. Her following short, Nobody’s Darling screened at London Short Film Festival 2020 and was screened at London Film Week before a preview of Cannes-Award-Winning feature Portrait of a Lady on Fire, she is currently developing her first feature film script.
